Another object of my catalogue with an obvious name.
This one is well-known, nevertheless I think it has to be included.
"Little Orion" is an assemblage of 7 stars, which looks very much like
the big brother - just a little bit "distorted".
It is located in the "Mexican Golf" of the famous "North-America-Nebula".
Here are two finder-charts for the object (click to enlarge). There is 56 Cygni 2 degrees SE of Alpha Cygni at a brightness of 5 mag. Another degree in the same direction follows the object.
There are many objects in the milkyway - too many to mention them here.
