Brightest star: | PPM 110215, 6.5 mag |
A little bit east of Sagitta lives the 6.5mag star PPM 110215.
Attached to it one can find the "Hook", which is about 7 arcminutes in
size. The stars are 11mag and brighter.
Here are two finder-charts for the object (click to enlarge). Start at Gamma Sagittae (the arrowhead) and move 40' to the northeast. There you'll find PPM 110215, which might be visible to the naked eye in very good conditions; it should be no problem for any finder or binocular. The Hook is attached to it.
There is a planetary nebula (WeSb 5) close to it which I haven't seen yet. Maybe somebody else?
